The Smart Agro Hub participated as proud sponsor at the event of the TrophyFood Challenge technological innovation competition in agri-food held at the Benaki Museum on Wednesday 30 November 2022.
During the event, the four winners of the Trophy-Roof Challenge for the year 2022 and three discussion panels were held to present new trends in agri-food:
- The future of the Greek agri-food innovation ecosystem
- Sustainable agriculture and smart climate solutions
- Digital agriculture – Technology and innovation in Greek production
The Managing Director Mr. Fotis Hadjipapadopoulos, the Chairman of our Board of Directors & Associate Professor of the Agricultural University of Athens Dr. Thomas Bartzanas and Sustainability & LCA Expert Elena Koukouna of SmartAgroHub were the key speakers on the panel “Digital agriculture – Technology and innovation in Greek production“, while they also awarded the prize to the big winners of the “Startups” category for 2022 who stood out for their innovative ideas that are directly applicable to the agri-food sector.
The TrophyTrophy Challenge is a pioneering competition of the organisation New Georgia New Generation – Generation Ag Greece which takes place this year for the 4th year through the Foundation’s founding donation Stavros Niarchos (SNF) – Stavros Niarchos Foundation. It aims to support the Greek agri-food ecosystem, the digital transformation of the sector and youth entrepreneurship, having supported to date 95 start-ups and teams involving students and researchers from 20 different universities, research institutions and institutes.
